Imphal, December 22 2025: The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of AMTUC & AMGEO Manipur has appealed to the Governor to consider releasing the salaries & allowances/monthly pension of its employees ahead of schedule, in view of the upcoming Christmas and Imoinu Iratpa celebrations.

"In connection with the ensuring X-Mass Festival which is due on the December 25, 2025 and Emoinu Iratpa falls on December 31, 2025, your goodself is hereby humbly requested kindly to release the monthly salary and pension for the month of December, 2025 payable on January, 2026 in advance preferably prior to the X-Mass Festival and Emoinu Iratpa respectively so as to enable us to enjoy the festival peacefully and joyful", read a memorandum submitted to the Governor by the JAC on December 22 .
