Census 2027 training concludes in Pherzawl

Pherzawl, August 22 2026: Trainingprogrammes for Enumerators and Supervisors engaged in the first phase of Census 2027 - House Listing and Housing Census - have concluded in Pherzawl district.

The training was conducted at Rengkai Government Higher Secondary School and the HSA Complex, covering the four Census Charges of Thanlon, Vangai.

The programme aimed to equip Enumerators and Supervisors with the knowledge and skills required for the smooth and accurate conduct of the House Listing and Housing Census.

Field Trainers Letminlien Khongsai, SDC Thanlon; Ngamgoumang Haokip, SDC Vangai; K Lunlenmoi Vaiphei, SDC Parbung; and T Wilson Henminlun, SDC, conducted the sessions in coordination with the respective Charge Officers and Sub-Divisional Officers.

The training included practical sessions on the use of the HLO mobile application for digital data collection and submission, along with field exercises to familiarise the personnel with census procedures.

Practical house-listing and enumeration exercises have also been scheduled to further strengthen their field-level skills.

The training programme was conducted under the leadership of Pherzawl Deputy Commissioner Anunay Anand, who is also the district's Principal Census Officer.

With the completion of the training, the Enumerators and Supervisors have been prepared to take up their field responsibilities for the first phase of Census 2027 in Pherzawl district.
