Thoubal, February 22 2025: Waikhom Mani Girls' College's Department of Geology organised a seminar on the topic "Geology and its opportunities in the scientific world-Challenges of women geologists" at the college's conference hall today.

WMG College Principal Professor Hanjabam Manoranjan Sharma, Head of Department of Geology Dr RK Ranjita Devi and Dr RK Mrinalinee Devi, Mining Consultant, Department of Geology and Mining, Arunachal Pradesh Government attended the seminar.

Dr RK Mrinalinee spoke and presented a power-point presentation on the topic of the seminar and scope of Geology.

She interacted with the students of the Departments and talked about challenges women geologists face in the field.

During the seminar, the Geology Department welcomed and presented gifts to Professor Hanjabam Manoranjan Sharma on his appointment as a regular Principal of the college.
