DMCC invites PM to visit state

Imphal, February 20 2025:
Delhi Meetei Coordinating Committee (DMCC) has submitted a memorandum and an open invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging him to visit Manipur during his upcoming trip to Guwahati for the Assam Advantage 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit on February 24-25 .
A delegation, led by the Committee secretary along with the convenor and spokesperson of the Women's Wing, submitted the memorandum at the Prime Minister's Office in New Delhi.
The memorandum appealed to the Prime Minister to assess the ground situation in Manipur, while stressing the need for immediate intervention to address security concerns and suffering of victims of both Meetei and Kuki communities, stating that the situation is critical and requires national attention.
Additionally, DMCC has demanded the removal of Union Home minister Amit Shah, Manipur security advisor Kuldiep Singh, who is also the chairperson of the Unified Command of Manipur, holding them responsible for failing to manage the crisis effectively.
The committee expressed belief that their removal is necessary to restore peace and stability in the state.
