MKVIB observes 80th Independence Day

Imphal, August 18 2026: Manipur Khadi & Village Industries Board (MKVIB) celebrated the 80th Independence Day at its office on Saturday with the Vice-Chairman, Board Members and staff in attendance.

Vice-Chairman Wanghembam Dineshchandra Singh hoisted the Tricolour.

Speaking on the occasion, Dineshchandra said today's generation must remember the sacrifices made by freedom fighters before Independence.

He urged employees to draw inspiration from that history and serve society with dedication.

MKVIB Member Secretary Chingakham Sanajaoba Singh spoke on Khadi's role in the freedom movement and paid tribute to the martyrs.

He appealed to staff to revive the link between Khadi and history.

Board Members Elam Amit Kumar, H Subhas Singh and Joseph Kashung also attended.
