Ukhrul's Chanchui Khayi in race for Miss India 2024

Chanchui Khayi from Ukhrul district would be representing the state in the prestigious 60th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant.
According to a report in the Ukhrul Times, Chanchui, a post-graduate in Performing Arts specialising in Drama and Theatre Arts, is a multi-talented artiste having won accolades in singing, dancing, and acting, including the Sushma Swaraj Award for Distinguished Women Achievers in music and dance.
Beyond her artistic achievements, she is committed to advancing child and youth development programs, inspiring young people to connect their passions with their dreams.
Chanchui's impressive journey includes winning the Miss Lily in 2019, K-Pop India Contest 2020 in the Solo Singing category, first runner-up in Miss Northeast India 2019, and among the three winners of the 19th Sunsilk Mega Miss North East in 2023, held in Guwahati, elaborated the report.
The diamond jubilee edition of Femina Miss India 2024 will feature 30 contestants representing 29 states and a collective representative for the union territories.
The grand finale, where all finalists will compete for the Femina Miss India World title, is slated for October 2024 .
After Thounaojam Strela Luwang's third-place finish at the Femina Miss India 2023, Chanchui Khayi will be giving Manipur another shot at the crown in Femina Miss India 2024, added the Ukhrul Times.
