'Feeding the needy' programme held

Imphal, August 16 2026: In memory of late Ningombam Ratankumar Singh, past club president of lionistic year 2020-2021 who expired on July 22, 2023, Lions Club of Imphal Central organised "Feeding The Needy" for the internally displaced people taking shelter at Akampat Relief Camp.

The lunch was sponsored by family members RK Sumitra Devi, N Tipu and Tinky Ningombam as part of the Hunger Project of Lions International.

The programme was presided by Dr Th Babulu, president of Lions Club of Imphal Central.

Th Kesho Singh, PDG attended as chief guest.

M Gojendra Singh, PDG/SCA and H Manikumar Singh, PDG were guests of honour.

Floral tributes were paid to late Ratankumar Singh and one-minute silence observed.

Gifts were presented to IDPs before lunch was served.
