Imphal, February 16 2026:
The Mayai Lambi Apunba Lup (MALAL) has formally appealed to the Chief Minister for urgent intervention regarding critical infrastructure issues along the Mayai Lambi (NH137A) .
The organisation submitted a representation today to the Chief Minister outlining the necessity for improved drainage systems and specific road widening to enhance public safety and convenience.
The letter highlighted two key concerns: a proper drainage system is needed in Langthabal, Mongsangei, Samurou, and Heirangoithong areas to prevent waterlogging and road damage; and the widening of a 250-meter stretch of NH 137A in Samurou, from PHC Samurou to Ibudhou Samurou Lakpa Temple, to ease traffic flow.
While expressing gratitude for the current road strengthening initiatives on Mayai Lambi, MALAL urged the Chief Minister to consider these vital matters and instruct contractors to take timely action.
