Awareness programme on HIV/AIDS held at NIT Manipur

Imphal, September 15 2026: National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur organised an awareness programme cum screening camp on HIV/AIDS in collaboration with the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU), Imphal West today.

The programme was graced by Registrar of National Institute of Technology Manipur Professor Khumukcham Tomba Singh and resource persons from DAPCU, Imphal West and the Breakfree Platform.

Around 100 participants comprising faculty, staff, scholars and students attended the programme.

The session focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, testing and addressing stigma along with self-risk assessment through Breakfree Platform.

An interactive quiz was also conducted at the end of the session to reinforce key messages.
