KCP observes foundation day

The 46th raising day of Kangleipak Communist Party was celebrated across all units and headquarters, said the proscribed outfit in a statement.
KCP General Secretary H Poirei, KCP/MLF Chief of Army Staff H Ibomcha, KCP Deputy Finance Secretary Th Bobby and KCP/ MLF General Staff Officer G-2 N Mani attended the main function held at the 141 Battalion, said the statement issued by its secretary-in-charge, information and publicity.
KCP General Secretary H Poirei lit the candle and KCP/MLF Chief of Army Staff H Ibomcha hoisted the flag to mark the celebration, it said.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy finance secretary Th Bobby touched on many issues facing the Manipuri society and stressed on the menace of drugs.
He sought all revolutionaries to remain vigilant against the Government of India's "poisonous" policies.
H Poirei recalled Manipur was an independent State and urged all to trace the steps of the forefathers and uphold the aged culture and tradition.
H Ibomcha called on the Meiteis to remain steadfast and unite against all forces threatening the indigenous people, their culture and tradition.
