Public meeting held on August 11 at Maha Area Chiefs' Association, Panchai under the aegis of Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) and attended by 147 Anal leaders strongly opposed the order issued by DC/Collector, Land Acquisition, Thoubal District stating that the land in questions .i.e., the land proposed for construction of road between Khambathel to Chakpikarong at Village No.91-Sugnu and 93-Toupokpi falls within the revenue jurisdiction of Thoubal District.

ANTA in collaboration with the ATCPGF will fight against the Govt.policies of trying to divide the Anal family by artificial law and boundary, the statement said, adding that the meeting also agreed to meet on August 23 at Unopat to deliberate on land acquisition act of 1894 and district boundary.
The statement also expressed solidarity to the ongoing UNC 48 hrs total bandh in all Naga inhabited areas that came into force from midnight of August 11 .
