Imphal, October 12 2025: A 1-day conference of Bharatiya Rail way Mall Godam Shramik Sangh (GRMGSS) was held today at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal.

The conference was graced by BRMGSS national general secretary Manoranjan Kumar Paswan, state vice president Maisnam Dorendro, NFR Zone joint secretary Md Mabidul Islam, state general secretary L Mangalsana and Wahengbam Rojit as presidium members.

The conference was marked by cultural dance/songs, Thang-Ta performance and Wushu Taola demonstration By students of SAI, RCC Khuman Lampak.

Notably, BRMGSS is one of the largest labour unions for workers in Indian Railway goods sheds, also called mall godams.

The union's primary goals are to improve the welfare of these workers by advocating for formalization of their jobs and demanding government facilities, including medical benefits, provident fund, and other social security measures.
