AR, BSF and Manipur Police hold joint outreach in Imphal East

Imphal, July 12 2026:
Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Border Security Force and Manipur Police, conducted a joint community outreach programme at Leitanpokpi village in Imphal East district on Saturday as part of ongoing civil-military engagement initiatives.
As per a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), the programme aimed to promote peace and communal harmony, build public confidence, and strengthen constructive engagement between security forces and the local population.
A total of 16 villagers, including village heads and secretaries, took part in the interactive session.
A joint team of 16 security personnel and police officials briefed attendees on the prevailing security situation in the area.
Officials stressed the importance of maintaining peace and public order through cooperation at the grassroots level.
Villagers were cautioned against believing or spreading unverified social media rumours and malicious propaganda that could create fear and mistrust.
They were urged to verify information through official channels and report any suspicious activities immediately.
Reaffirming their commitment to public safety, the team highlighted ongoing measures such as area domination patrols and timely humanitarian assistance.
The outreach concluded with meaningful dialogue, improved information sharing, and a renewed commitment to regional stability and socio-economic development.
