Fertilisers distributed to farmers in Oinam AC

Moirang, July 10 2026: BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary Khumukcham Jibon on Friday distributed 1,500 bags of fertilisers to farmers from five villages in Oinam Assembly Constituency as part of an initiative to support the farming community during the cultivation season.

The fertilisers were distributed to farmers of Yumnam Khunou, Ngaikhong Siphai, Ngaikhong Khullen and two localities in the Oinam area.

Speaking on the occasion, Khumukcham Jibon said farmers had faced difficulties in obtaining fertilisers for agricultural activities over the years.

He claimed that the BJP-led Government under Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh has been making sustained efforts to ensure an adequate supply of fertilisers and prevent shortages.

He said the distribution drive had already begun across villages in Oinam Assembly Constituency and was aimed at sparing farmers the time, effort and additional expenses involved in procuring fertilisers from distant locations.

The BJP Kisan Morcha leader said the fertilisers were made available to farmers in coordination with the Agriculture Department and the Manipur Government.

He also assured that the distribution would continue to cover the remaining farmers in the constituency to meet their agricultural requirements.
