Thoubal, August 09 2026: Social activist and poet Nongsatabam Niranjan Dutta was conferred the RK Kamaljit Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 at a programme held at Agartala Press Club, Tripura, on Sunday to commemorate the 102nd birth anniversary of Sankhya Rajkumar Kamaljit.

Senior journalist RK Kalyanjit attended the programme as functional president, while Manipuri Sahitya Parishad president L Birmangal, social activist Y Rashiklal Singha and Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, Manipuri Language Board member Khoisnam Birola attended as guests of honour.

Manipuri Literary & Cultural Forum secretary Khoisnam Mangai delivered the welcome address, while Marup editor RK Tarunjit delivered the keynote address.

MSPT Assistant General Secretary Konsam Atul proposed the vote of thanks.

The programme was followed by a poetry recitation session dedicated to Sankhya Rajkumar Kamaljit.
