100 days of protest to be observed today in CCpur

Lamka, December 08 2015:
Joint Action Committee against anti-tribal bills stated that tribal movement for their dignity, land and rights will cross 100 days on Wednesday December 9, 2015 .
In the recent joint consultative meeting convened by JAC has resolved to organised a mass prayer at Lamka Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka, Churachandpur from 12 soon onwards.
To mark the 100th days of protest against "injustice meted out to the tribal people and the persistent prejudice and indifference of Manipur Government towards their plight", the JAC urged tribal "brethrens" across the tribal territories of Manipur to organise a similar mass prayers in their respective districts.
In the appeal, the JAC said, "This will be a time to pay homage to our nine tribal martyrs, a time to introspect and thank the Almighty for having led us thus far and also a time to humble ourselves while
seeking the Lord's forgiveness for any misdeeds and cry out for His help to heal our land" .
Further, the JAC appealed to all tribal people to light candles outside their respective homes between 6 pm to 7 pm on the night of December 9, 2015 in honour of supreme sacrifices made by nine tribal martyrs.
