Security forces seize drugs in separate operations

Imphal, September 08 2025: Manipur police arrested one Aribam Mansish (23) of Kshetri Awang Leikai, Kshetrigao from North AOC and recovered 1.940 Kg of Ganja from his possession.

In a separate operation, security forces conducted a raid at Keirao Louthok Loukon under Irilbung police station and recovered items used for bottling opioid codeine from a makeshift hut.

The items seized include three blue plastic cans labelled containing suspected opioid codeine, 1,461 empty bottles, 625 white plastic caps 185 plastic bottles filled with suspected opioid codeine.

Yesterday, Manipur police arrested two drug smugglers, Thanglunpau Sukte (32) and Hauginlian Phaipi (35) at Police Motor Vehicle Check Gate along Guite road under Singhat PS, Churachandpur district.

Both the individuals are of Suangdoh village.

From their possession, the police seized 176 soap cases containing brown sugar weighing 1.9 Kg and one four-wheeler vehicle.
