CRPF distributes sewing machines to displaced women

Imphal, October 07 2026: As apart of its civic action programme, the Dett/ 34 CRPF Battalion distributed 15 sewing machines to women IDPs at the Meitei Langol Leima Khullen Leikai relief camp, Imphal West today.

The initiative was undertaken with the objective of providing livelihood support and promoting self-reliance and economic empowerment among the beneficiaries, said the CRPF in a statement.

Commandant-34 Bn Sh Phrakyrwat Kharmujai, Second in Command Sh Omprakash, SMO-34 Bn CRPF Dr Deepika Sharma, Assistant Commandant Hijam Gitanjali Devi, Assistant Commandant Sh Surendra Singh Rawat, UCM Langol Unit chairman Habijiom Sham, Relief Camp chairman Nongthombam Munindro Meitei and Meitei Langol Relief Camp secretary Oinam Romen Singh were present at the event.
