Govt deputes 106 teachers for B.Ed course

Imphal, August 07 2026: The Government of Manipur has ordered the deputation of 106 teachers under the Education (Schools) Department to pursue the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course.

As per an order issued on August 5,99 teachers, including 75 Lecturers, 3 Graduate Teachers and 21 Primary Teachers, will undergo the B.Ed course for the academic session 2026-2028 at DM College of Teacher Education, Imphal.

Additionally, 7 teachers from Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts have been permitted to pursue the course in recognized private teacher education institutions identified by the Directorate of Education (S) .

The deputation period will be 2 years and treated as on duty.

Teachers deputed to DM College have been directed to report to the Principal immediately, while others must complete admission formalities within the prescribed time.

A waiting list has also been prepared to fill vacancies arising due to non-joining or withdrawal.
