Manipur College to host International seminar on Meitei-Pangal culture

Imphal, April 07 2026: Moirang College has announced that it will host a one-day international seminar on May 9, 2026, at its Multipurpose Hall, focusing on the theme "Culture of Meitei-Pangal (Manipuri Muslims): Past, Present & Future" .

According to an official statement issued by the college, the seminar is being organised in association with the Writers Union, Imphal, under the aegis of the Manipur State Minorities Commission.

The college has invited faculties, students, and research scholars from higher educational institutions, as well as members of cultural organisations, to submit original research papers for the seminar.

Submissions, limited to 2,000 words in Microsoft Word format, must be sent on or before April 30, 2026 to Dr Moirangthem Rajesh Singh, Head of the Department of Manipuri and convenor of the seminar through email id: [email protected], mobile no: 8837004425 .

The selected papers through a panel of experts shall be considered for oral presentation and publication in the proceedings.
