AR conducts medical outreach across Manipur

Imphal, October 05 2026:
Assam Rifles conducted medical outreach initiatives across Manipur on Monday under its Civic Action Programme.
A medical team organised a healthcare drive at Phaikoh village in Kamjong district, providing check-ups, consultations and free medicines to 220 beneficiaries including 120 adults and 100 children.
Awareness on hygiene and preventive healthcare was also imparted.
Simultaneously, Assam Rifles in collaboration with Indian Medical Association, Maharashtra launched a medical camp at Khewa.
Sagolmang in Imphal East district.
Specialist doctors from Kolhapur, Mumbai and Pune along with Assam Rifles personnel provided free treatment to 520 patients including 165 men, 310 women and 45 children.
Free transportation was arranged for internally displaced persons.
Over 75 personnel, doctors and volunteers took part in the drives.
