Govt extends public holiday till today

Imphal, July 03 2024:
In continuation of its July 2 order, the state government declared July 4 as public holiday for all government offices including public sector undertakings/corporations/autonomous bodies/societies under the government.
It further declared that all banks, financial institutions and LIC, located in the state will remain closed on Thursday.
According to the order issued by GAD deputy secretary Angom Heera Singh on Wednesday, the government appealed to the public to stay indoors and not to move about except for emergency so that authorities can carry out rescue and relief works smoothly.
The order also iterated that all departments involved in rescue and relief operations, namely Home, Police, Fire Services, District Administration, Relief & Disaster Management, Power, Health & Family Welfare, PHE, Water Resources, PWD, GAD, CAF&PD, MI, Forests, LDA, etc., shall have a working day.
Officers/employees of all the other departments will also be available on phone call for any eventuality.
