Imphal, July 31 2025: Lecturers' Association Manipur (LAM), 2018 batch on Thursday decided to suspend its pen down strike that began from July 21 after an understanding arrived at with government officials.

In a release, the Association stated that its executives met with government officials and reached an understanding on key issues.

According to the officials, all groundwork and solution-finding processes related to pending files have been completed.

The files will be put up within two-three days for approval by competent authority (Governor-in-Council).

The delay in processing the files was attributed to the recentjoining of a higher authorities of the department and time taken to finalise groundwork.

Additionally, the government assured the association that the transfer orders of the three LAM executives would be revoked, it conveyed, while urging the government to fulfil the understanding at the earliest.
