Induction training on 'Governance & Financial Management' kicks off

Imphal, June 29 2026:
A five-day Induction Training Programme on "Institutional Governance and Financial Management" commenced Monday at the College of Agriculture, Iroisemba, Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal.
Organised for newly recruited Assistant Registrars, Assistant Comptrollers and administrative staff from CAU's constituent colleges, the programme aims to strengthen the University's institutional framework by equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills in governance, administration and financial management.
Inaugurating the programme, Prof Indira Sarangthem, Coordinator of NIRF Ranking and Faculty Development Programme, CAU, extended a warm welcome to the new members and presented an overview of the training schedule.
She urged participants to actively engage in every session, share field experiences, exchange ideas, and make the most of the opportunity to deepen their understanding of university administration.
She stressed that committed participation would help enhance transparency, efficiency and service delivery across CAU campuses.
The training will cover Institutional Governance; LTC & Procurement Rules; Financial Rules & Situation-Specific Administration; Recruitment Rules & Reservation Policy; Digital Governance, GeM operations and Pay Fixation; and Grievance Redressal Mechanisms.
Resource persons from ICAR, NAARM, NDRI, Mizoram University and CAU will conduct expert lectures, group discussions and hands-on sessions over the five days to build capacity among administrative staff.
