Imphal, August 28 2026: Red Shield Division under the aegis of Indian Army celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with students and teaching staff of Paramount Standard School, Leikoiching, Imphal East at Hanuman Top on Friday.

The event served as an emblem of unity, harmony and mutual respect, bringing together students, educators and armed forces personnel in a spirit of patriotic fervour.

The programme commenced with schoolgirls and teachers tying sacred rakhis on the wrists of soldiers deployed at the post, symbolising their gratitude and faith in the guardians of the Nation.

In return, troops offered gifts, sweets and a heartfelt pledge to ensure continuous safety, peace and well-being of the local population.

The event featured interactive sessions between soldiers and students, encouraging youth to embrace values of selfless service and national integration.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the local community to connect closely with armed forces in an atmosphere of warmth and joy.

The event concluded with distribution of tokens of appreciation, reaffirming the bond between citizens and military.
