Imphal, March 26 2026: Bringing immense pride to the State, Cadet Under Officer Konsam Moramba Meitei of 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC secured the 3rd position in the prestigious GOC-in-C Eastern Command Best Cadet Trophy (Senior Division) at the NCC Best Cadets Award Ceremony 2026.The event was hosted by the Indian Army's Eastern Command at Vijay Durg in Kolkata.

Lieutenant General R C Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command, presented the award.

He interacted with and felicitated NCC cadets from across the North Eastern States.

Highlighting the importance of youth in nationbuilding, Lt Gen Tiwari commended the cadets for their discipline, dedication, and role in fostering unity and integration.

States including Assam, West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, and Sikkim emerged as top performers at the event.

CUO Konsam Moramba's achievement stands as a testament to his dedication and commitment, marking a proud moment for Manipur and serving as an inspiration to young cadets across the region.
