Imphal, May 25 2026:
The Bharatiya Janata Party saw fresh support in two constituencies today.
At Sagolband, over 70 families from various localities joined the BJP during a reception at MLA RK Imo Singh's residence.
Formerly aligned with the ex-MLA, they cited growing trust in Imo Singh's 14-year tenure marked by improvements in water supply, power, roads, healthcare, PDS, education, and social welfare.
Imo Singh said Sagolband has advanced through inclusive, people-centric development driven by accessibility and accountability, with party leaders noting a shift toward development-oriented politics.
Meanwhile, in Kshetrigao, ex-MLA Nahakpam Indrajit hosted a get-together at his Thambalkhong residence for women workers from polling stations 4/15, 4/16, and 4/17 of Kongpal Khaidem Leikai.
Several women from other parties joined the BJP, vowing to back Indrajit in the upcoming 13th Assembly election.
Indrajit said past development was hindered by Covid but pledged to make Kshetrigao progressive and drug-free, urging voters to reject divisive politics and support inclusive growth.
