Thoubal, October 24 2024: Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Lilong United Clubs conducted a one-day free medical camp at Idgah ground in Lilong Haoreibi Mayai Leikai under Thoubal district today.

Brigader Ananya Bora, CDR 9 Sector, Col Sandeep Mishra, Commander 4 AR, Lilong United Clubs convener Sazad Bhuiyamayum and social workers Mufti Sabir Shah and Haji Rami were present and supervised the health camp.

Many Mumbai based specialists in Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Medicine and Paediatrics rendered their medical services to women, children and senior citizens of the area.

Aside from free medical consultations, free medications' were also distributed to the patients.

Speaking in this connection, Sazad Bhuiyamayum said that the health camp was organised to provide medical treatment to patients with chronic illnesses and those who cannot travel to far off places for treatment.

The camp will help people in taking care of their ailments and in maintaining a healthy society, he added.
