PWF elects new executive body

Imphal, August 23 2026: The Patriotic Writers Forum (PWF), Manipur held its Special General Body Meeting today at Loktak Hall, Manipur Press Club, Imphal and elected 11 executive members for the term 2026-2029.Advocate Maisnam Korouhamba Luwang was the returning officer.

Naoroibam Khamba Luwang was elected unopposed as president, Pukhrambam Biprachand as vice president, Rakesh Naorem as secretary, Devjani Yumnam as treasurer and Laimujam Pratap Singh as assistant secretary.

Oinam Meira, Lenin Khumancha, Aribam Ajitkumar Sharma, Nabakumar Oinam, Okendro Khundomgbam and Rameshwar Laishram were elected as executive members.

Khamba Luwang said the Forum will continue to promote Manipuri language and script.
