AR organises medical camp in Chandel

Aimed at providing essential healthcare services in remote areas such as New Songjang in Chandel District which faces challenges due to poor connectivity and limited access to medical facilities, Assam Rifles conducted a medical camp.
The camp offered medical consultations, check-ups, treatments, and the distribution of essential medicines, said a release issued by IGAR (S) .
A total of 315 patients from New Songj ang and surrounding villages benefited from the services provided.
The initiative included free screenings for common illnesses, maternal and child health consultations, and specialized referrals for cases requiring advanced care, said IGAR.
IGAR continued that the dedicated team of medical professionals ensured that each patient received personalized attention and care.
In addition to medical services, health awareness talks on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive measures were conducted to promote long-term community well-being.
Local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for organizing the camp, highlighting its significance in addressing the healthcare challenges faced by the region.
