Cataract detected patients transported for free operations at Shija Hospitals

14 patients who have been detected with cataract and pterygiums during the Free Eye Screening and Cataract Detection camp held at ShijaCity Dental Hospital, Kakching Chumnang Leikai on May 15 were flagged off today from Kakching for operation at Shija Hospital, Imphal.
The 14 patients were detected during a free eye screening and cataract detection camp held on May 15 which was organised jointly by Shija Eye Care Foundation, Imphal, National Programme for Control of Blindness (NCPB)-National Health Mission and ShijaCity Dental Hospital, Kakching.
The 14 patients were flagged off today from Kakching on a special bus sent by Shija Hospitals Imphal and will have their operations tomorrow at free of cost.
ShijaCity Dental Hospital, Kakching, administrative officer Dr Yambem Menon prayed for a successful surgery of the patients and hoped for a smooth process and swift recovery.
