AR pays tribute to braveheart

Moreh, November 21 2024: In a solemn ceremony held in Moreh, the Assam Rifles paid tribute to Rifleman (Late) Ramesh Chandra Pant, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Indo-China War at Sela (NEFA), now Arunachal Pradesh, on November 21, 1962 .

The ceremony commenced with the laying of wreaths in honour of the fallen hero, followed by a motivational address that recounted the heroism displayed by Rifleman Pant during the operation, said a release issued by IGAR (S) .

A total number of 200 personnel from the Assam Rifles participated in the event, paying their respects and rendering a Guard of Honour to acknowledge the valour of Rifleman Pant during the operation, added IGAR (S) .

IGAR (S) continued that the Assam Rifles remains steadfast in its commitment to commemorating the valor of its soldiers and ensuring that their sacrifices are never forgotten.
