Association distributes medical kits

In a commendable effort to support emergency healthcare, the Thoubal District Hospital Patient Attendants' Welfare Association has begun providing free emergency medical kits to IDP patients and those patients admitted under emergency care at the District Hospital, Thoubal.
The donated kits include IV sets, Jelco, Medifix and other surgery items required for immediate treatment.
Speaking in this connection, Association president, Oinam Sanamacha stated that Welfare Association was recently formed with the approval of Dr W Ruhinikumar, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Thoubal, W Ruhinikumar to support IDP patients and others in urgent need, especially those unable to afford such critical items during emergencies.
He further noted that while the hospital is now equipped with modem infrastructure and adequate medical staff, patients and attendants must still exercise caution from purchasing medicines and other surgical items from unauthorized sources.
