Traffic curbs for Police Half Marathon and Mera Bor Pujah

Imphal, October 16 2026: Police have issued traffic advisories for Manipur Police Half Marathon on October 18 and Mera Bor Pujah at Hiyangthang on October 19.For the half marathon to be held on occasion of 135th Manipur Police Raising Day, traffic restrictions will be enforced from 5 am on October 18 till completion of event on stretches from Western Gate of Kangla to LIC Crossing, LIC Crossing to North AOC and North AOC to Nilakuthi.

Opposite sides will be used for two-way traffic.

Diversions will be enforced at Khuyathong-LIC, Minuthong, Khongnang Ani Karak and Korengei as required.

The marathon route is Western Gate of Kangla - LIC Crossing - North AOC - Khongnang Ani Karak - Korengei - Nilakuthi and return to Kangla gate.

Parking for participants will be near Johnstone School to BT Park, MPP Crossing to RK Book House and opposite MPP .

Officials will park along Kanglapat and security vehicles at GM Hall and Old Assembly Road.

For Mera Bor Pujah on October 19, no vehicles except VIPs, ambulances, fire brigades and duty magistrates will be allowed beyond Phuramakhong and Tarahei Konjil on Mayang Imphal Road, Hiyangthang Kangjeibung from Ningombam-Mekola road, Kamakhya Pemton College from Irom Meijrao Road and Samurou Ground from 2 am till puja ends.

Vehicles from Mayang Imphal to Imphal will be diverted towards Haoreibi along Imphal River bank, and Imphal to Hiyangthang traffic via Ningombam from Phuramakhong.

Light vehicles via Nambol-Mekola will be allowed to Kangjeibung.

Parking lots have been designated at Phuramakhong Nambul Mapal Ground, Tarahei Konjil LP School, Kangjeibung Ground Hiyangthang, Kamakhya Pemton College Ground, near Oil Service Samurou and Sangai Bazar Takhellambam for vehicles from different directions.
