Imphal, November 15 2008: As part of the Children's Day celebrations at Sainik School Imphal, a Sumang Leela was staged in the school premises yesterday evening.

The Shumang Leela titled "Langla Amagi Kishi" which means "A knot of a single thread" played by the artistes of "Dedicated World Artist" of Imphal kept the audience spellbound for two hours by their scintillating performance, a press note from the PIB (Defence Wing) stated.

The play is based on relations between India and Pakistan and aims to promote communal harmony, mutual love and brotherhood among various communities.

Apart from its entertainment value, the programme intended to sensitize the cadets about rich cultural heritage of Manipur.

The programme was also witnessed by a large number of people from adjoining areas as a good-will gesture, the PIB press note added.
