Jojo Robertson launches tree plantation campaign, aims to plant 2,000 saplings

Imphal, April 15 2026:
Environmental activist Jojo Robertson, a native of Kasom Khullen village under Kamjong district, has launched a tree plantation campaign aiming to plant around 2,000 saplings across the sub-division.
The initiative, titled "Comprehensive Environmental Awareness Campaign", commenced on Tuesday from Tarong village and is set to continue until June.
The launch event was attended by social activist J Zingkhen, chairman of Tarong village N Paul, church leaders, and local residents, who expressed support for the initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Jojo Robertson stated that the campaign not only, focuses on planting approximately 2,000 saplings across Kasom Khullen sub-division but also aims to distribute saplings to selected villages.
He further added that the initiative plans to extend its reach to certain parts of the Imphal valley in the coming months.
The campaign seeks to promote environmental awareness and encourage community participation in afforestation efforts, contributing to ecological conservation and sustainable development in the region.
