AR extends support to IDPs in Churachandpur

The Assam Rifles, under the aegis of the Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (South), in coordination with veterans of defence forces affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, carried out a humanitarian initiative for internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the Sangai University Relief Camp in Churachandpur District, Manipur on Monday.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the veterans from across the country visited the camp to interact with residents, understand their concerns and extend solidarity.
During the outreach, essential relief materials including edible items, Storage water tanks, school bags and sports equipment were distributed.
Additionally, milletbased nutritious meals were served to promote healthy dietary practices and support the well-being of displaced families, particularly children.
The initiative aimed at addressing imme-diate needs while uplifting the morale of the affected population.
This collaborative effort reflects the spirit of selfless service that continues beyond active duty and highlights the Assam Rifles' unwavering commitment to civil-military cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
