Imphal, January 15 2026: Kshetrimayum Yaima Memorial Trust (KYMT) observed the 120th birth anniversary of noted educationist Kshetrimayum Yaima at Dosuyali Hall in Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai today.

The observance was graced by dignitaries, including Yengkhom Indira Devi, retired DI of Schools, Zone-III, Thoubal; Yaiskul Khwairakpam, former president, Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur; and Okram Sumati Devi, former Associate Professor, GP Womens' College.

During the event, eminent writer & critic Salam Tomba gave a talk on the topic, "Life and works of Kshetrimayum Yaima" .

Awards were also presented to Dr Khangembam Samungou, Damodor Laishram, Ch Subadani Devi and Jamuna Lairenjam, in recognition of their contributions to Manipuri literature.
