Imphal, September 14 2025: In a commendable initiative and in continuation of the efforts to foster health resilience and community preparedness, Assam Rifles commemorated World First Aid Day on September 13, 2025, across several remote villages in Chandel District, Manipur.

As per a release issued by the IGAR (South), the outreach programme spanned Aibol Joupi, Sehlon, Phoilen, Kovang, Tuitong, Old Samtal, and New Samtal - regions nestled along the Indo-Myanmar border - bringing vital first aid awareness to the grassroots.

The event began with an engaging awareness campaign that underscored the critical importance of first aid in mitigating emergencies such as road accidents, fire incidents, medical crises, snake bites, and natural disasters.

With a focus on practical learning, trained personnel and medical staff from Assam Rifles conducted immersive demonstrations tailored to the local context.

Villagers were guided through essential procedures including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), bum care, fracture stabilization, and snakebite response techniques.
