CRPF's Civic Action Programme strengthens community bonds

Imphal, February 13 2026:
The 143 Battalion CRPF, under the aegis of the M&N Sector, conducted a Civic Action Programme today to address local needs and build trust between the force and the public.
The initiative included the inauguration of a newly constructed waiting shed and the closing ceremonies of vocational training programmes.
As per a release issued by CRPF, the newly constructed waiting shed at Yaiphal Leikai, Imphal West, was handed over to the villagers.
The construction was completed following a request from the local community for their welfare.
Additionally, the closing ceremonies for a one-week barber training programme and a mushroom cultivation training programme were organised at the HQr 143 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat.
These programmes, part of the Civic Action Programme (CAP), benefited 38 individuals from Naoremthong Khulem Leikai.
H Premjit Meetei, DIGP, Range Imphal CRPF, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
He handed over the waiting shed and presented barber kit bags to all participants of the barber training.
H Premjit Meetei also highlighted the CRPF's commitment to addressing the needs and requirements of the locals through such community initiatives.
Other prominent personnel present included Ravinder Sharma, Commandant; Dr Saikt Biswas, CMO; Omnath Chttraj, 2IC; and CSS Kushwaha, DC.
The people of Yaiphal Leikai and Naoremthong Khulem Leikai expressed their happiness and gratitude to the CRPF for the welfare initiatives.
