DC Jiribam inspects damaged houses and relief camps

Jiribam, November 12 2025: Led by Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam Krishna Kumar, an inspection team comprising Superintendent of Police, Jiribam, Prakhar Pandey; Commandant 20 Bn CRPF, Karowng Haopu; and Major Dhananjoy of 38 Assam Rifles, today inspected the damaged houses in Jakuradhor Karong, Lamdai Khunou and Modhupur for the resettlement of displaced persons staying at Relief Camps.

During the visit, the DC and the officials interacted with the inmates of Relief Camps and distributed toys and sweets to the children.

The DC also distributed sports materials to local youth clubs in Jakuradhor, Lambhutangkhal, students of Netaji Government High School and inmates of the Relief Camp at Borobekra Police Station.

Later, Krishna Kumar also reviewed the status of the Jiribam-Tipaimukh Road along with the concerned Executive Engineer, Jiribam, and the contractor, discussing measures to expedite ongoing repair and development works.
