PBCS Youth Department launches cleanliness drive in Senapati

Senapati, August 12 2026: The Youth Department of Poumai Baptist Church, Senapati (PBCS), on Tuesday launched a district-wide cleanliness drive along Senapati bazaar in collaboration with the Senapati District Administration and with support from Lemai Pharmaceuticals.

Speaking on the initiative, PBCS Youth Director SN Gladson said the cleanliness drive was part of the church's outreach activities as it prepares for the dedication of its new church building.

He said the youth viewed cleanliness as "faith in action" and a means of caring for God's creation.

With rising health risks and environmental degradation, the youth department decided to take practical action rather than merely speak, he added.

The Youth Department described the drive as a beginning rather than an end and called upon citizens, households and community leaders to take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their respective areas.
