Heirok Apunba Club celebrates 3rd foundation day

Thoubal, July 11 2026: Heirok Apunba Club, an apexbody of25 clubs in theHeirokarea.

celebrated its third foundation day with cultural programmes at Heirok Part-11 Umang Laikol on Saturday.

A spot-painting competition for students was organised as part of the celebration.

The function was attended by Heirok MLA Dr Thokchom Radheshyam as the chief guest, Heirok Apunba Club president Wahengbam Jiban Singh as the functional president, and Heirok Part-I GP chairperson Laishram Brojen Singh, Heirok Part-II GP chairperson Moirangthem Manglem Meetei, Heirok Part-III GP chairperson Ningthoujam Tangba, Heirok Municipal Council chairperson Laishram Nungsisana, and Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi advisor Khundongbam Gunamani Devi as guests of honour.

The dignitaries paid floral tributes to the portrait of the late Laishram Mandir in recognition of his contribution towards fostering unity among the people of Heirok.

Executive members of Heirok Apunba Club and journalists from Thoubal district were also honoured during the programme.

In the spot-painting competition, Malemnganbi Devi, Ningthoujam Lingjel Chanu and Jenith Wahengbam secured the first, second and third positions respectively in Category A (Classes III-V).

In Category B (Classes VI-VIII), Khundongbam Pibaremba won the first prize, while Moirangthem Tomthin and Laishram Tolenkhomba secured the second and third positions respectively.

In Category C (Classes IX-XII), Moirangthem Artina bagged the first prize, followed by Thokchom Tarubi Devi and Ningthoujam Rezia in the second and third positions.

The winners of the competition, along with meritorious students who excelled in the Class X and XII examinations, were felicitated with certificates, mementoes and gifts.
