AR dedicates infrastructure for locals of Kamjong and Churachandpur

Assam Rifles continued its commitment to community development by inaugurating two key infrastructure projects in Manipur under Operation Sadbhavana.
Assam Rifles on Monday inagurated a shed for assisting the local traders at Kangpat Khunou Village, Kamjong District According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), this initiative aims to empower local villagers by providing a dedicated space for trade, commerce and self-employment activities.
The newly constructed shed will serve as an essential economic hub for local farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs, particularly from tire Tangkhul community and neighbouring villages.
The inauguration was marked by enthusiastic participation from the local community.
The Village Headman of Kangpat Khunou led the ceremony in the presence of the local Pastor, Village Secretary, and other village authorities.
Around 150 villagers, including men, women, and children, attended the event, reflecting the deep-rooted trust between Assam Rifles and the people of the region.
Meanwhile, the Assam Rifles today inaugurated a Community Hall in Gelbung Village, Churachandpur District This newly constructed hall will serve as a central space for social, cultural, and educational activities, benefiting the local population.
Designed to foster community interaction, skill development, and welfare programs, the hall will play a crucial role in the socio-economic upliftment of the region, said the IGAR (South).
The inauguration was attended by Assam Rifles officials, village elders, and local residents, who expressed their gratitude for the Force's continuous support.
