AMPSA to conduct free coaching for students

Imphal, June 10 2026: All Manipur Progressive Students' Association (AMPSA) will hold free coaching classes for Class 9 and 10 students from the second week of July at CH Iboyaima High School, Singjamei.

Speaking to the media today at Manipur Press Club, AMPSA president Mutum Chinglemba said the initiative aims to build a responsible student community.

AMPPSA also urged strict enforcement of the All Manipur Private School Registration and Regulation Rules, 2024, including mandatory libraries, payment of Government basic pay scales to private teachers, and annual audits by zonal education offices.

The association appealed against commercialisation of private schools and encroachment of Government school land, asking the Directorate of Education (S) to intervene.
