TYCM welcomes online applications for Assembly jobs, urges same for Art & Culture Dept

Imphal, June 08 2026: The Tribal Youth Council Manipur (TYCM) has welcomed the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat's decision to open online submission of application forms for recruitment to the posts of Driver, Mali, Sweeper, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) .

In a notification dated June 6, 2026, issued in response to TYCM's appeal, the Secretariat allowed online applications from 12.00 midnight of June 8 to 12:00 midnight of June 10, 2026.TYCM expressed gratitude to the Speaker, Assembly officials, and the State Government for the move.

However, the council pointed out that the Department of Art and Culture is still conducting offline-only recruitment for Grade-IV posts including Chowkidar, Sweeper, Peon, and others under a May 21, 2025 notification.

Citing the volatile situation and transport disruptions in hill districts, TYCM said job seekers there cannot collect or submit forms physically.

It had submitted representations to the Chief Secretary and Assembly Secretary on May 29, and to the Chief Minister on June 1, 2026, seeking online facilities.

TYCM strongly appealed to the Government to adopt online mode across all departments and enable online entry of Employment Exchange Sponsoring Numbers.
