CRPF's Civic Action Programme continues

The Central Reserve Police Force's Civic Action Programmes continue to foster stronger community-security force relations by bridging the gap between local populations and security personnel through welfare activities and development support.
120 BATTALION
As part of the Civic Action Programme, 120 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Manipur & Nagaland Sector distributed eight solar street lights to the villagers of Maklang today.
The event was aimed at improving public amenities and supporting community welfare in remote and underserved areas of the State.
Premjit Meetei, DIGP, CRPF Range Imphal graced the programme as the chief guest.
The programme was also attended by Rajeev Lochan, Commandant, 120 Bn CRPF; Manish Raman, 2I/C 120 Bn CRPF; Sudhir Kumar, AC, 120 Bn CRPF; L Vandemoovung, AC, 120 Bn CRPF; Nabaku-mar Laishram, Zila Parishad; Th Romita Chanu, CHO, Primary Health Sub Center Maklang; L Jimmy, SHO, Patsoi PS; members of local clubs.
Speaking on the occasion, H Premjit Meetei emphasized that the CRPF not only plays a vital role in maintaining peace and security but also remains committed to the welfare and development of local communities.
He also reiterated the Force's commitment toward supporting developmental needs and improving the quality of life in remote areas.
34 BATTALION
C/34 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of 34 Battalion CRPF organised a Civic Action Programme at Temporary Shelter Home, Sawombung, Imphal East on Sunday.
Phrakyrwat Kharmujai, Commandant, 34 Bn CRPF graced the programme as the chief guest.
The programme was also attended by Ravindra Singh Tomar, 2-I/C, 34 Bn CRPF; Khwairakpam Lenin Singh, SDO Sawombung, Imphal East; M Roshan Singh, OC, Lamlai PS; Surendar Singh Rawat, AC, 34 Bn CRPF, other officers and jawans of C/34 Bn CRPF.
During the programme, 2 wooden weaving machines, 5 sewing machines, 10 charkha (metallic) and 10 solar lamps were distributed to the Temporary Shelter Home, Sawombung.
The programme saw a large turnout from Temporary Shelter Home, reflecting the trust and appreciation for such initiatives.
I Rajan, convener of Temporary Shelter Home Sawombung was also present at the event.
