Imphal, May 07 2025: The first ever Standing Committee meeting of the newly elected members of All Manpur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) held on Wednesday nominated two members of the committee for the tenure 2025-27.The nominated members are Jayalakshmi Thangjam of SKTV and Laishram Kamaljeet of Sanaleibak daily.

Additionally, designations of the members of the AMWJU Standing Committee for the tenure 2025-27 have also been finalised.

Asem Bhakta Singh of Hydrabad Headlines will head the committee as president while Sorensangbam Soniya Devi of Poknapham daily will be vice-president.

The committee will have Khwairakpam Naoba of ISTV as general secretary, Leimapokpam Shanjitkumar of Eikhoigi Panthung as finance secretary and Konthoujam Gita Devi of Imphal Times as joint secretary.

Designations of other members of the committee are Thingbaijam Lakhikant of Paojel as Manipur Press Club secretary, Jayalakshmi Thangjam of SKTV as publicity secretary, Haobam Pravinkumar of Ichel Express as games & sports secretary, Laishram Kamaljeet of Sanaleibak daily as internal auditor and E Ojitkumar alias Musuk of Impact TV and Suraj Chanam of Kangleipaki Meira as members.
