3-day capacity building programme on cucumber and marigold cultivation concludes

Imphal, February 05 2026: The three-day capacity building programme on "Cucumber and Marigold Cultivation for Income Generation", organised by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bishnupur, with support from the ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (IIHR), NEH Component, Bengaluru, concluded today at the KVK Bishnupur Training Hall.

Altogether, 70 farmers from different parts of Bishnupur district participated in the training programme.

During the training programme, SMS (Horticulture), KVK Bishnupur, Dr P Bijaya imparted training on improved cultivation practices of cucumber and marigold aimed at achieving higher production and better profitability.

On the concluding day of the training programme, cucumber and marigold seeds were also distributed to the participating farmers.

SMS Agri Extension Dr A Jarajit, also attended the programme and shared detailed insights with the farmers on various incomegenerating activities and opportunities in the agricultural sector.
