LOUSAL new executive vows to uplift workers, boost State's food production

The oathtaking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of Loumee Shinmee Apun Lup (LOUSAL) for the term 2026-2029 was held today at Sanamahi Kiyong, Selloi Langmai Ching, Imphal East.
The new office bearers were administered oath by the chief advisor of LOUSAL, Dr Keisham Bheigyachandra before Lainingthou Sanamahi.
Files related to handing over of charge were also handed over to the new president.
The new team comprises 23 executive members including Pukhrambam Inaobi as president and Khudam Ronex as secretary general.
Speaking on the occasion, Pukhrambam Inaobi said LOUSAL will work as a bridge between farmers and the Government Departments concerned to make the State self-sufficient in food production.
He said workers are in a deplorable condition with the present Government neglecting them.
LOUSAL will act as a support group for workers and take up feasible activities to uplift them, he added.
Members of LOUSAL and leaders of various organisations associated with the Lup attended the function.
